Q: Who owns the 3D model after the project?

You do. The model and its source file are handed over together with the images. You can bring it back for the next set of visuals or give it to anyone else, and reusing it is what makes every later project cheaper than the first.

Q: What do I need to send to start a project like these?

Whatever you already have. A CAD or STEP file is the fastest start and drawings with dimensions work well. For most products, photos of a sample from the front, the side and three quarters are enough. If the product is still secret, we sign an NDA before you send anything.

Q: How long does a project take?

A simple part takes about a day and a typical product two or three. A complex product needs three to five days, and a watch with its movement can take one to two weeks. A product film runs two to four weeks, mostly because of the script and the edit.

Q: Which file formats do I get?

It depends on where the model is going. GLB is used by web viewers and AR on Android, USDZ by AR on iPhone, and OBJ or FBX move the model into other 3D programs. We also send the editable source file, since it is the only one that can be properly changed later.

Q: Can I order only the images if I already have a 3D model?

Yes. If the model is in good shape, we take it straight to materials, lighting and images. A set of images from an existing model usually takes one to five days.

Q: Do you work with brands outside the US?

Yes, the whole job moves as files, so distance does not matter. We work with brands across the US and Europe, and you get a named contact who answers during your working day.

What a project like these costs

We work at 20 USD an hour, but the number of parts tells you more than the rate. A simple part usually lands around 80 USD and a typical product like a portable speaker around 200. Something with a working mechanism is closer to 400, while a watch with its movement starts at 1,200. Renders on white are included in those figures.
